Thanks for taking the time to stop by and taking a look at my idea. I have been a musician/songwriter all of my life. So many times I have thought of giving up, laying it down and just walking away from it. Recording music has lifted me up and renewed my life so many times, and it has also broken my heart and left me feeling so empty. If you are an artist who creates something that you just want to share with others, but feel trapped on a dead end road because you can't find anyone who will stop and look at what you've created and just brush you off as if you don't even exist then you have probably been many of the same places that I have.
I have an idea, as crazy as it may seem, but I believe it can work. I am in the process of building an independent record label that will be very open, honest, and will work very hard for the people that we promote. I would like to include all genres of music, spoken word presentations, poetic readings over music, basically any audible artform imaginable. Also included in this network would be collaborative works among the artists, if you compose music and need lyrics I would like to link musicians together with lyricists and poets in order to complete their work if for no other reason than to feel the satisfaction that their work has come to be a finished piece. There is no greater gratification than to see your creation completed and come to life, but the disheartening part is trying to reach somebody who might listen, and from the bottom of my heart I simply want to be your brother in arms.
